Sheep May Safely Graze (Provo Foothills, Spring), original watercolor
I walked here one morning and was amazed when the sheep came right up to me. I snapped some photos and made some quick sketches in my sketchbook. I few days later when I went back to paint with the group, the sheep didn't reappear. Fortunately I had my earlier sketchbook reference and was able to include them. This scene captures everything magical about springtime in Provo--snow-capped peaks in the distance, Forsythia and pink nd white fruit tree blossoms in full splendor, surrounded by the lightest spring green, made richer when the skies are overcast. 12 x 12 original watercolor. Comes unmatted, unframed, in a protective sleeve.
