My husband and I stumbled on this site one evening and I was determined to take our group back to paint there. It was just so lovely and secluded, and well, serene. (Hence the title.) We covered ourselves in insect repellant and painted to our heart's content. It was such a beautiful morning! I love that you can see Midway's mountains in the distance. And I love the contrast of the clump of trees in shadow with everything else basking in the sunlit morning. There were just enough wildflowers to add some color to the foreground. 9 x 12 original watercolor, painted entirely on location. Comes unmatted, unframed, in protective sleeve.
